Cameron   Edmund  " Cam " Raven  - 1949 - 2004

The Kingston Leftovers Hockey Club mourns the passing of goaltender and friend Cam Raven. Cam had been a regular with the League for eight years. During that time he played on most of the teams and was always willing to fill in when needed. Cam's love of the game was reflected in his positive attitude both on and off the ice.

 - Terry Wright

Quietly at home on Monday April 19, 2004. Predeceased by his father Charles, survived by his wife Frances (daughter of Eleanor and David McGinnis), sons Cory and Andrew, mother Marilyn, brother Ian, sisters Catherine and Melissa, other close family, sister-in-law Barbara Wills and Gilles Dupuis, Jennifer and husband Jamie Payne, niece Sarah Lee Clark and husband Brent Loken.

When I think of Cam Raven, the first words that spring to my lips are “Hey Goalie!” Remembering Cam in the hockey net, his love of the game, his persistence in coming out to play, despite the physical set backs - his ability to stop all the shots when you played against him and - on the other hand - to stop very few (or so it sometimes seemed) when you were playing on his team. Yet with his attitude and love of the game it was great to be on Cam’s team.
