Gerald   was a mailman  and played fast ball  in the  Frontenac  and Loughborough Leagues  for Battersea as a Catcher . he could throw you out at second  and not even stand up , he was  also an avid Hunter and fisherman . We took a lot of trips  to  the Hunting camp after those  speckled trout .

He joined  1000 oldtimers  as a defencman in 1981,  most of us  are now Loyalist  Plus 50’s . Gerry left us in 1990.

We had a lot of good times playing hockey  with a few trips along the way. There have been a lot of players  come and go, but  Gerry  will always  stand out in my mind .

A father  and  grandfather pre-deceased  by his first  wife Barbara survived , survived by  Son Ron and daughter  Bonnie Gay, and three granddaughters Kelly, Lindsay, and Alexandria.  Two grandsons , Luke and  Jake . he was proud of them all . On May 5th, 1990  he  re- married  his  childhood  friend  Barbara  Pierce
